Climate change caused by human activities, which has been recognized as one of the biggest challenges facing the world and will continue to affect humans and their related activities in the coming decades. Climate change will have an impact on human and natural systems, and will have significant impacts on resource availability, economic activities, and human well-being. In response, relevant international organizations, countries, and regions are developing and implementing international, regional, national, and local greenhouse gas emission management plans to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) concentrations in the Earth's atmosphere and help humans adapt to climate change.
On September 29th, 2024, the national standard "GBT32151.19-2024 Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting Requirements Part 19: Heat Treatment Enterprises" was developed under the leadership of Guangdong Strong Metal Technology Co., Ltd. The drafting units included China Academy of Machinery Beijing Research Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Fengdong Thermal Technology Co., Ltd., and AVIC Changcheng Metrology & Measurement (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.

GB/T 32151 "Requirements for Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting" specifies the requirements for greenhouse gas emission accounting and reporting at different levels of enterprises, with the aim of specifying the greenhouse gas emission boundaries, measurement and testing requirements, accounting steps and methods, data quality management, report content and format for different types of enterprises.
