Induction heating has the characteristics of high efficiency, no pollution, easy automation and suitable for mass production.
(1) Choose steel correctly
It is easy to get fine martensite in fine grain steel, and the brittleness damage sensitivity is small after low temperature tempering. At the same time, materials with good processability, low cost and good hardenability are required.
(2) Advantages of induction heating
During induction heating quenching, it can ensure that the temperature and hardening layer are evenly distributed in the required hardening area, and the heating time to quenching temperature is the shortest, with high thermal efficiency and energy saving.
Quality inspection of induction hardening
1. Inspection of parts quality before induction heating and heat treatment
(1) Before induction heating and heat treatment, the parts shall be cleaned to remove the oil stain and rust on the surface, and shall be free of burr, flash, oxide skin, etc.
(2) The overall dimension of the parts shall meet the process requirements. If there are parts with out of tolerance in batch size, those that can be reworked and corrected before quenching shall be returned for rework; if they cannot be reworked before quenching, the process department shall make a one-time and effective temporary process according to the situation, and the full-time inspection personnel shall strictly control and mark the parts.
(3) The surface roughness of parts to be treated shall be equal to or better than Ra1.6μm.
(4) Before induction heating, the chemical composition, hardness and original structure of the parts are generally not inspected, but they shall be inspected under special circumstances.
2. Inspection of induction heating process
It shall be carried out in accordance with induction heating and heat treatment process and operation instructions. The operators shall carry out self inspection on the quality of parts and process parameters, and the on-site quality assurance system combining the mutual inspection of team leader and quality inspector, the special inspection of inspectors, and the spot inspection of branch plant sections.
3. Inspection after induction heating and heat treatment
(1) Items and contents of daily inspection: surface quality, hardening area and deformation of parts shall be inspected according to the requirements of process card.
(2) Carry out metallographic overall quality inspection regularly
